What is a Shellac Removal?

For Shellac manicure removal, one should soak their nails for approximately 10 minutes in acetone solution. Cuticle oil should also be applied before taking this step as this will soften skin and prevent dryness due to harsh acetone used during this process.
Once acetone has had time to soak into the nails for 10 minutes, the manicure should come off easily using a manicure stick or orange stick. Any small remnants of nail polish residue may remain, which can easily be removed with a nail file. After taking this step, it’s recommended that someone use moisturizer and cuticle oil in order to hydrate their hands and nails afterwards.
