Hair Removal Methods

Hair removal, otherwise referred to as epilators or diapering, is the careful intentional elimination of external body hair by means of a machine. There are many different ways to perform this process, and it depends on your situation and the desired end result. Some people may need to have their legs waxed, while others may be satisfied with waxing on the lower areas of their bodies. If you are interested in having your legs waxed or having the waxing process performed on your lower body, a good place to start would be at your local salon. If you are not comfortable with having your legs waxed on a routine basis, you can find many salons that specialize in hair removal only. These salons are much less expensive than waxing at a salon.

Another very common form of hair removal is the use of a hot waxing device to get rid of unwanted hair and one which come in very handy when traveling. Hot waxing devices can be found in most airports and can easily be rented for the duration of your layover in the airport. If you don’t feel like spending the time to find and heat up a hot waxing device at an airport, you can always purchase a portable wax warmer from your local drugstore. This device will keep you area heated enough to freeze out the extra hairs on your vacation.

Another hair removal method that is commonly used on the legs, butt, underarm area, back, or face, and is quite popular, is waxing. Waxing is a very effective method of hair removal for bikini area. When waxing your bikini area, you want to wax in the same direction as the hairs grow, and try to wax before they are fully grown, so they will stick to the wax easier. Waxing strips away hairs at a steady pace, so the hairs do not grow back overnight. Some women do not feel comfortable having their underarms waxed, and in that case they can wax their legs, or the back of their legs.

Another method of hair removal, that is growing in popularity, is laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is a process where a handheld device is used to heat up a gel, and then use the heat to destroy the hair follicle. This gel is placed over the skin, and a special laser is used to heat up the gel, and destroy the follicle. This process may leave a scar, so be sure to have your doctor check it out before having it done. This process typically takes several treatments to get rid of all of the hair in an area.

Vacuum technology is also growing in popularity as a new and effective way to remove unwanted hair from the bikini area. Using a vacuum, the user inserts a flexible tube into the bikini area. The tube is then pushed into the hair removal device, where the hair is sucked into the sucking tube, and removed. This method doesn’t require the use of warm wax, or waxing creams. This can be a little more painful than using the devices found at your local salon, but it’s much less painful than waxing.

Finally, some women are turning to a sensitive skin cream as a great alternative to waxing. Sensitive skin cream is applied to the area, the cream is then left on for a certain amount of time, then is wiped off with a cloth or paper towel. Sensitive skin allows the cream to be more abrasive, but also allows the skin to absorb the ingredients of the cream much easier than a wax or waxing cream. With this type of cream, you don’t have to worry about the pain, and you still get the hair removal effect you want.
