There is a brand new restaurant from Davines in London, The Dove Cottage. It’s named after the family of the original founder, which dates back to 17th Century. You will notice that the menu is all about seafood, starting with a smoked salmon sandwich. A smoked fish platter is accompanied by a side of wild mushrooms, and if you are feeling extra adventurous, you might want to try a crab cake too! The menu is certainly impressive, but the best thing about The Dove Cottage is the atmosphere.

The dining area offers two different seating areas, each with its own outdoor patio and private bar. The large, open dining room is ideal for parties, and if you would like to entertain more than four people at once, you can make use of the larger and more formal bar area. Outdoor seating is very nice, too, with wood furniture and beautiful garden umbrellas to protect you from the weather. Both areas are decorated very attractively, and come complete with drapes, fans, and shutters so you can really enjoy your time outside. The interior of The Dove Cottage is very warm and comfortable, as well. The large dining room seats around forty people, but because it isn’t a formal dining experience, this can be expanded if you wish. If you want a more intimate gathering, you can always invite some friends over for a cozy dinner. This wonderful new place offers an all-you-crave-for experience. There is only one buffet in the entire building, which means that you will always have a good selection of excellent food and drinks to enjoy.

The other side of the coin is the quality of the food itself. Although most of the dishes on the buffet are top notch, the service can leave something to be desired. You will only have a few selections at most, but they are excellent. The waitpersons are friendly, and helpful, making sure your experience at The Dove Cottage was enjoyable from start to finish.
