How to Make Your Own Hair Spray at Home

It is easy to make your own hair spray at home if you have a little bit of knowledge in the chemical world. Hair spray is an essential product in the hair care industry. Hair spray serves a number of purposes, for example, it can help to nourish and condition the hair as well as removing and thickening a dirty or thin hair, but the real reason why it is used is for enhancing the look of the hair.

There are a few steps you need to follow in order to create your own hair spray. First of all, it is a good idea to get hold of some commercially prepared shampoo and conditioner, then you will need to add one or two drops of your chosen hair oil, water and an adequate amount of hair spray to create a paste.

Roll the paste into a small ball. You will then need to spread the paste on to your wet hair. Make sure that the mixture is just damp. Hold the ball of paste by rolling it in your fingers and leaving it on your hair for about 10 minutes.

After ten minutes you should take out the ball and add a little bit of strong colorant and mix it in with the hair spray. The resulting paste will need to be left on your hair for an additional 15 minutes. You can wash the hair with the remaining amount of hair spray.

On occasion you may find that after leaving the paste on your hair for about ten minutes your cuticles have become thicker and more difficult to manage. If this happens, you can remove the paste and roll it into a ball once again and do not apply it again until you have allowed the cuticles to dry naturally.

If your hair spray has fragrance, you can remove the fragrance by applying it to a cotton swab. Then, take the cotton swab and rub it against the fragrance area until the fragrance disappears. Leave the swab on the face and let it air dry.

Shampoo after every other use, and if you decide to use a new shampoo, try to shake the bottle well before applying the shampoo. Make sure that you do not put the bottle on the shower-head.

Make sure you consult with a professional or a pharmacist when choosing different recipes for hair spray. Make sure you remember the ingredients for these recipes, as they will vary from brand to brand.
