How Does Hair Spray Affect My Hair?

Many women have a love-hate relationship with their hair spray. Some ladies love it and others don’t. What I have found to be very helpful is applying a hair molding paste onto my hair before spraying.

Hair sprays can definitely do some damage. There are a couple of ways it can affect your hair. One way is by drying out your hair too much, which can actually cause split ends. Another way it can damage your hair is through its chemicals.

Just because you think that your hair spray has no chemicals in it does not mean it is safe for you to use. If you buy a product that is labeled “all natural” then you should look closer into the ingredient list. Most all natural products have lots of harsh ingredients in them, as they are trying to avoid being labeled “fragrance free”.

It would be smart to go with a shampoo and conditioner that does not contain any hair sprays. That way you will not have to use any chemicals to help protect your hair from drying out. It is especially important to use shampoos and conditioners that contain vitamins and minerals to improve the health of your hair.

For me personally I find that using a hair molding paste can help reduce the amount of time that I have to spray my hair. I like the fact that it makes my hair look like it is ready to straighten at a moment’s notice.

Some women do not like the way their hair looks after a few short days of using a spray. This can actually be caused by the environment that you live in. When you live in an area where it is cold outside it may take longer for your hair to recover from the harsh weather. If you have hair sprays that is designed for hot weather this may be the cause.

My suggestion for this is to read labels carefully before buying a hair spray. Sometimes when buying a hair spray you may find that the bottle says it is suited for hot weather, and the bottle says it is for cold weather. The difference in how your hair looks after one type of hair spray versus another is due to the type of environment that you live in.

Overall though it is a big difference between the two types of hair sprays. You may find that one can have a big impact on your hair but the other does not have a big impact on your hair.
